‌Available PRS Trainings


‌Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) Trainings include 60 hours of contact time and 12 hours of outside homework, as well as quizzes and a final test. Upon successful completion of the training, we hope that you will continue your journey and seek certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist. The DBHDS 72-hour PRS training is the only training accepted by the Virginia Certification Board as part of the certification process.

Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) Trainings 

Before beginning the application, please review the PRS Training List below and choose the training you'd like to apply to. Then, note the Training ID # in the far left column. You will be required to enter the Training ID # in the first step of the application. Once you have identified a training, complete the training application.  Note:  scroll to the far right and click on the arrow to view all details, including dates/times.
